Sharing the magic of music - Our sun has risen

"Isten áldásával István a király"

Literally: with Gods blessing, Stephen is King
From the rockopera King Sephen bey Szörényi & Bródy

Today (20th August) we celebrate the foundation of the state, the Birthday of the land I live in and so I'm sharing another bit from the Rockopera King Stephen (The other song I shared can be found here, there is also a little about the historical background there) He's the first hungarian king and he founded the state.
Traditionally,  the 20th August is considered the day king Stephen died (but who can tell that for sure after almost 1000 years). Before his death he asked Vrigin Mary to protect the land because he was worried because his heir, the husband of one of his daughters. He had two sons himself but one died as a child and the other died as a young adult during a hunting accident, or that's what's traditionally said. It could have been murder, too.

The song I'm sharing is from the moment he becomes king. I won't do an english translation for the whole but only for the short part that is sung in Hungarian (there are some Latin parts):
It has english subs but it looks like the translation is not a very good one so I did quickly my own version. It is still worth to look at it so you get a more complex picture what it is about.

Hungarian                                                 my English translation

Felkelt a napunk                                         Our sun has risen
István a mi urunk                                        Stephen is our ruler
Árad a kegyelem                                         the light of clemency
fénye reánk                                                  is poured on us
Hálás a szívünk                                           Our heart is full of gratitude
Zengjen az örömünk                                    let our joy be heard
Szép Magyarország                                     Beautiful Hungary
Édes Hazám!                                               my beloved homeland

Now just anjoy the music. This short section is repeated three times.

A quick review of my Disney dolls from 2015 - part 2

"I alone can tell now

what the end will be"

from Miss Saigon by Boublil and Schönberg, Finale

First things first: these are not the newest dolls. They came out in 2015.
I left off after Ariel so Now I'm picking up with Prince Eric.
You remember those pictures of him still in box, right?

Dolly, beeing her usual very kind and welcoming self:
She can't do a deboxing without...  oh yes she can (see Holiday Frozen Sisters deboxing) but she rarely lets an opportunity slide by. She loves to sit on boxes. Now back to Eric or, to be precise to his box.
It has some nice details the recent boxes don't have anymore.
He has a nice, movie accurate face with the fairytale couples mold and similar faceup.
His outfit is nica and closes at the back with velcro. It is a two piece outfit.
His boots are nice, too
Sadly the prince dolls have much less articulation than the girls, no wrist articulation and the neckjoint can do less as well.
My Eric has a little trouble with one of his elbow joints, it's really loose and can flip backward.
I believe this is not a very rare problem, I've seen it before.
He's a bit difficult to pose. Especially for party pictures.
Aladdin is next.
Of course Dolly is right there.
He can't get away.
A rule is a rule.
He has quite a fancy box.
The back of the box has a good picture of the doll.
Now deboxing.
Not an easy job but quite quick compared to other deboxings.
Fresh out of the box, hee needs some support under his feet but he can stand on his own. He looks worried.
His elbow joint are fine bot his neck is a bit loose - he was packed badly as I noticed while deboxing. Like all male dolls now, his hair is moulded. (a few years ago, before redoing the faces, Shang from Mulan had rooted hair) His little hat is not removable although it looks removable.
His outfit is nice and movie accurate in my opinion.
Also from the backside.
He is a nice doll and he's a nice addition to any collection. I still wish for more articulation for the boys.
Now it's Jasmine's turn. She's from2015 as already mentioned so she didn't come with Abu, sadly.
She has a quite fancy box with lots of very princessy decoration.
The backside of the box has the stock photo of the doll.
Let's get her out.
But before that, let's welcome her the Dolly way.
Stepping up the deboxing and using a bigger blade.
These ties are nasty. but at least no ties in her head.
And the tie around her waist is not white, it's the color of her skin
Almost free.
And she's free.
She has the usual princess articulation.
Her outfit is nice but she's missing the gem on her hairband.
She has nice long black hair but the hairstyle is not really accurate I think her hair needs to be redone.
Her shoes have the shape we see in the movie the color matches her outfit.
In the movie they are gold. The classic Jasmine doll from the big Aladdin set had golden shoes.
All in all she's also a nice addition and the girls are really happy she finally joined.
